The 14-Member Counties Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) is with no doubt a bastion of opportunity not just to investors but also to the 14 Million Kenyans residing within it. Aimed at maximizing the benefits accruing from pulling together, of ideas, resources and shared interests at a macro-county level, LREB continues to identify and participate in showcasing the numerous resources endowed in the individual member counties and entire region with the aim of attracting investments that translate to improved welfare of our population arising from a sustainable quality of life while preserving the integrity of our ecosystem.
The individual qualities and uniqueness of member counties are not lost in the commonality advanced by the Bloc. To the contrary, the Bloc amplifies these individual qualities and becomes a necessary panacea to challenges of economies of scale that individual counties may encounter in their efforts to attract investments. This is done conscious of the central position of the people in any effort to exploit their resources hence the adoption of a people-centric approach.

With Blue Economy playing a pivotal role in Economic Empowerment and contribution to the Food Security Agenda, the geo-positioning of Siaya along the shores of the resource-rich Lake Victoria puts Siaya at the apex of the go-to places for investment in the Sector. This ranges from fish farming and fish processing in both small and large scale.
The importance of a 14-Million residents strong Bloc in augmenting the potential of each County in all sectors cannot be overstated.
It is towards this great exploit that I welcome you to the SITICO 2025; to learn of the opportunities, to feel the warmth of Siaya people and to appreciate the investor-friendly environment that the years of devolution have afforded Siaya County.
