It is with great passion and purpose that I welcome you to the Siaya International Trade and Investment Conference (SITICO) 2025. This landmark event is more than a gathering, it is a platform for transformation, where opportunities meet partnerships, and where the future of Siaya as a dynamic investment hub is defined.
For me, SITICO is not simply about hosting a conference or an exhibition. It is about opening Siaya to the world, connecting our people, resources, and potential with visionary investors and partners. It is about telling the story of Siaya as a land of opportunity: fertile for agribusiness, rich in natural resources, driven by a youthful and innovative population, and strategically located within reach of the East African Community (EAC), COMESA, and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
SITICO 2025 is therefore a deliberate call to action. It invites investors to join us in unlocking opportunities in agriculture and agro-processing, renewable energy, industrialization, healthcare, tourism, and the cooperative sector. It is about forging partnerships that will create jobs, drive inclusive growth, and uplift communities, ensuring that prosperity is not an aspiration but a lived reality for the people of Siaya.
I am deeply grateful to our partners, both local and international, who are walking with us in making this conference a reality. I also acknowledge the commitment of our communities and entrepreneurs whose resilience and innovation inspire our drive to industrialize from the grassroots.
