Joachim Osur is a Professor of Sexual and Reproductive Health. He is a Pan-African health development professional, researcher and educationist with experience of over 25 years leading development of health and higher education programs across Africa. He is currently the Chairman of Council, Murang’a University of Technology; the Vice Chancellor, Amref International University; the Chairman, Health Rights Kenya; and international member of the Board of the US based Centre for Reproductive Rights.
He is member of the Editorial Board as well as the Committee on Culture, Religion and Sexuality of the International Society for Sexual Medicine. Among others, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery; a Master’s Degree in Public Health; a PhD in Reproductive Health; a Membership of the American College of Sexologists; and a Fellowship of the European Committee on Sexual Medicine.
He is a practicing public health specialist and researcher as well as Clinical Sexologist, Sexual Medicine Expert, sex coach and family therapist. He is a columnist with the Nation Newspaper where he is credited with writing over 560 educational articles on human sexuality in the last 12 years.
